I havent stayed at either before but have been trying to get POR or POFQ for my weekend trip in October. I called back today, still no POR or POFQ but she did have POP at $69.00.

Alot of people seem to be grooving on POP so I am considering it. Its just two adults, I am going with someone who has never been to WDW before so we will not be in room much at all. I like the fact it has a bit more centralized location than Coronado but I know its not as "nice"

What would you do? :)

It really depends whether or not you will spend much time at the resort. There is more to see and do at CSR. It has multiple pools and sit down dining. As well as a nice mexican / southwestern feel. I prefer CSR to POP, but if you aren't going to be spending much time at the resort you might as well save money and spend it during your trip. Enjoy!!

we stayed at csr last year it was great we have 2 young children. csr is more adult buisness type. if no children id stay there.. were going to pop in 2 weeks because it sounds more suited for young children. (they are very loud) they will fit right in!!!!

We went to POP in Spring Without the kiddies and LOVED it. We were there to hit the parks and did not stay too long at the resort (other than the arcade, I couldn't get my husband out of) and we loved the convienience of POP. By that I mean when we get off the bus it is through the double doors to fill up our mugs with coffee, soda or Hot chocolate and head back to the room. I loved the food court because it was central and we stayed in the 50 or 60;s building and didn't find it far away. In fact we are considering going back with the kids next trip. We also LOVE POR so I understand your dilemma between Mod and Value. I like the idea of saving the $50 per night if you are hitting the parks more than hanging at the resort. Just my opinion.

Happy planning!

Save the $50 or put it towards a more expensive dinner.

I'd sure like to know why it seems so many people LOVE POR rather than POFQ - I have res for POFQ this month (10 days :), but would really like to stay someplace different. Have been lucky enough thru the yrs to stay at every resort except the new SSR, BWI and AS (no desire for AS). My concern about POR is the bus wait and standing room only on the bus. Also, I'd like the Magnolia side but the one near the bridge looks pretty far from the bus stop. HELP!!!

Thanks much!!

Christine

CSR is GORGEOUS!!!! We paid 109.00 and thought it was a steal!

PC is nice, too! Either way, you'll be fine!

We stayed at the POP last Feb and although I dreaded a value resort it turned out to be great. It's new, clean and still has that fresh feel to it - also nothing is that far away. If you want more quiet try for the 50's section, around room 2456 - you face the lake and parking lot, but it's quiet and you can see the top of Illuminations and other fireworks each night! It's my favorite section of POP - sweet. Every morning leaving and evening returning we walked by Lady and the Tramp! The is pool shaped like a bowling pin! Like I wrote in another post, be sure to request a location becasue we met an elderly couple who'd just arrived for a 10 day family vacation and these poor folks were in a first floor , back room facing bushes! I felt so sorry for them!! They were very disappointed - they had just checked in so I suggested the go right back to check-in to see if they might get another room at least the next day. Imagine 10 days looking at bushes!

I got a $49 rate and it's pretty irresistable!!!

Wherever you stay, it'll be great fun!

We will not be in the room at all and I can see if I like it enough to stay at the end of the month or switch us back to the whole week at POR.

Thanks all!

Save the $50 or put it towards a more expensive dinner.

Or, a few drinks you know where.

Although if you're splitting with a friend it's only $25.
