:bounce: :Pinkbounc WE"RE BACK !! , and it was great. A few tips I learned, 1. Use the Animal Kingdom Lunch Vouchers. You can get them for 5.99 for a child, use them at Pizzafari, get the same Pizza a saml soda, and the coupon for bottled water and an ice cream for later. It was very hot, so we actually used the ice cream coupon for more water. The water was 2.29 each, so, the total bill for one eater would have been :$4.99 pizza, 1.89 soda, 2.29 water and 2.29 water, and all was obtained for $5.99. The secret, purchase 4 children's vouchers at $5.99, not adult vouchers at $11.99, no one at the coundters asked or cared when my DH paid for the 4 pizza's and drinks with the vouchers. The pizza is way large, and more than enough, we ate there 3 times !2.In EPOCT eat at the Yatori House . There were meal items for 3.99, 1.99 and you can make quite a feast for 4 for under $20.00 at a Epoct resturant They had Udan Noodes in brothe for 4.99, add 2 tempura shrimp for 6.99, hard to finish, a large bowl filled with noodles, again wonderful.3.Check out with a check, not charge to credit card. . The big discussion was in the previous thread, "when would it hit the bank ?". We checked out last Saturday, and the check did not hit the bank until yesterday.:earseek: But, I was not able to see if they checked the bank first for verification 4. Purchase those giant turkey legs. I think they were 4.99, we purchase two and myself and 10 and 11 year olds were satisifed for lunch, but beware, they do make you very thirsty, 5. purchase gifts/souviners at Anima Kingdom rainforest Cafe If you don't care about having the Disney logo, there was always something good on sale there, T-shirts, monkeys with a baby, etc. The meas are not cheap, but the portions are huge, I ate an appetizer only and shared this humongous salad with my daughter:teeth:
OOPS, have to go now. Will write more tips later !!!

Glad you had a good time and that everything worked out!!!!

I'm so glad that things worked out for you. It sounds like you had a great trip. I'd love to hear more about it when you have the time.

Glad you enjoyed your trip and everything worked out for you. Quick question about your tips...

Where exactly do you buy the vouchers? I've read about them on a bunch of threads and they sound like a great deal.
Steve
Leaving in 28 days!!

Thanks for the great tips! I definitely want to try the Yakitori House, and the Animal Kingdom lunch vouchers sound like a great idea. I'm curious where you get them, too.
I can't wait to hear any more suggestions that you've got!

Laura
:D

Thanks for the update on how things went!

I have purchased the meal vouchers at both the eateries and guest services. The last time I used them I was placing an order at the Flame Tree BBQ and the total was 9.xx. I asked if I could purchase a voucher and she had them right there! I got an ice cream later and grabbed a bottle of soda on the way out. I believe they are a great value if you are spending a full day at the AK.

the vouchers sound like a great idea.

I would like to learn more about them. Is there a link?

I wondered about this since I added $100 to my reservation with my debit card this week and it still hasnt gone through my bank. I'd have bet that a check would take even longer. ::yes::

Glad to know you had a good trip...I was wondering about you just yesterday! :D BTW, did your 401K come through in time for your trip?

glad you had fun and it all worked out fine.....the voucher idea is a good one! did you use them any where but Pizzafari, I think they are good at Tuske r and flame tree too??are the seats outside...I would be mortified if someone questioned me about it me but would rather have a kids portion ( more Weight watcher friendly) than split with my husband.

I too would like to know about these AK vouchers, could someone please help out???? :)

Thanks

Thanks for the tips! Looking forward to reading more!

For $11.99 plus tax for adults and $5.99 plus tax for kids, for 1 quick service entree and 1 non-alcoholic beverage AND a box of popcorn OR 1 ice cream bar AND a bottle of soda. Meals good at: Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, or Tusker House. You must use all coupons on the same day, which is why it is a good deal if you are spending a bulk of the day at AK. The voucher comes in several sections to rip off to redeem for the different items.

Hope this helps!

Jann, I often order the kids meal as I find it is just the right amount of food. No one has ever said anything to me, so I assume it is ok to do so.:D

thanks I did decide against as many Q/c vouchers as I had originally planned due to figuring we would be limited on what we could get that way. this ak one will replace 2!
