Pool tip

Melissa,

I don't think any of the comments were over a normal line, but there are a couple of topics with a lot of history on the DIS. Like religion and politics, it's best to stay away from pool hopping and refillable mugs.

Neither topic ever end well.

Pool hopping, kids blowing bubbles in line, strollers and feet, mobility scooters...

These are all threads that generate a lot of fuss...

...and a lot of entertainment if you are looking for that kind of thing.

Yeah...10 points! I wonder what I get when I reach 100!!! Lol.

All I said was I thought our pool was better than FW and that I felt that rule was over-rated.

That's it!!!!

Now, I have read some real real nasty posts on this forum. For example, last week a lady flat out told another lady the reason why her hubby and son didn't come along on the trip is because of her. Probably crushed that lady reading that post and completely out of line. Not true I'm sure and just terrible all the way around and yet tht post and comment still stands today!

And I can't say what I said above?????

I'm sure that this comment will get me another 10 points per the email I received and banned from comments for 10 days so whatever.....

See ya all in 10 days!!!

Na,

You have to do a lot more to get commenting taken away. I didn't know we could get points. Found this in the rules section. Points

So to get back on topic, the Fort has lovely huge pools. I've never been tempted to swim anywhere else.

You know, this brings back a memory from this past November when we were staying at the fort. We were riding the internal bus and right across from the entrance to 1500 loop we saw a kid diving for a football and went straight into the canal.

And now for something completely different...

I once brought a refillable mug from a previous trip and reused it. But that's just me. I love living my life on the edge like that. But you pool hoppers, wow, that is like those extreme sports I watch late at night on ESPN 17 (or what ever number they are up to now).

Squirrel feed...

I once brought an old refilable mug from a previous trip and used it to dip water out of the pool at the Grand Floridian and poured it into the Quiet Pool at Port Orleans Riverside.

You are a mad man! The next thing you are going to tell me is that you once poured out a water bottle and refilled it with vodka before entering a park! Oh wait, I think I may have said too much, I'm out!

Sorry, should have been more specific. You can pool hop among "sister resorts". The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are considered this (that is why there is a boat between the two), plus we asked first before we did this. I may have been misled by the CM I asked, if so, sorry for posting incorrect information.
Titay2005, I'm on your side! Until the Wilderness Lodge takes a stand and refuses to let these guys pool hop, we should all hop at will!! I can promise you I have NEVER pooped in a pool while pool hopping!

My comment was not mean, not rude and it was mild......

It was two lines worth of texted and 50% of it was in favor of the Fort pool.

Ahhh, that makes sense I had quoted your comment in my post. I thought it was not rude at all and I didn't think mine was rude.

The gist of mine was that the Fort pool is on par with deluxes with a water slide, hot tub, and splash pad, and that it should be since the folks who use cabins are paying a deluxe rate.

And I also said that I feel that Pool Hopping itself is overrated anyway (regardless of it being against the rules for non-DVC owners). When we owned DVC we hopped only once, and that was when the Boardwalk pool was closed for refurb and they sent us over to SAB. Too much hassle IMHO, and we only swam once that trip.

Oh, and I also had noted how I found it interesting that we get very few non-Fort-goers involved in our discussions around here, but this thread has quite a few.

Welcome to folks who have not experienced the Fort yet, it is a special place!

Oh, and I had called the clown at the BW pool creepy. Someone may take offense at that...but honestly I think it is simple, unbiased fact.:thumbsup2

Clown Bunnies...aaaaaaaaauuuuuggggggghhhhhhhh!
