Hi, Just wondering what you guys do during your non-theme park days when you go at Christmas time??:confused3

We've only ever had good weather so we've always had 'pool' days and although DH & I love the malls our 2 boys (who will then be 6 and 3) will undoubtly hate too much wandering around shops. :lmao:

They both love swimming - but is it unlikely that we will get our beloved pool time??:confused3 If so, what would you do instead with too smallish boys??

any thoughts greatly appreciated!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi Amy :wave2:

We stayed at a villa in January of this year and did spend some time in the pool (heated, I hasten to add!) but probaly not what you would class as a whole day relaxing around the pool.

Most days if we had had the spare time we would have been able to get a good spell in the pool, just not really warm enough to be lolling around on sun loungers but fine for a good dip ;)

A couple of days during the fortnight there would have been no way it would have been possible, it was FAR too cold.

HTH,

Ali :goodvibes

Hi Amy

Not a full day's activity but we like to spend a few hours at Celebration Town Center when we visit during December. We like to walk around the lake, have a bite to eat at the Market Street Cafe and then enjoy the evening enterntainment that they hold each evening throughout December, including the nightly 'snow fall'. The attached link shows you details of last years celebrations as they've not released this year's details yet, however i'm sure this year year will be pretty similar. :santa:

Hi Ali,

thanks ever so much for the info - thats put my mind at rest as I know the boys will need plenty of rest spells!!:rotfl2:

I think if we don't have a too rigid itinerary, perhaps we can then change the days around so that we can have pool days when the weather is brighter!!:thumbsup2

thanks again!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi Steve and Sarah - thanks ever so much for posting this :lovestruc - thats a really lovely idea - we never made it to celebration this time and were thinking we would try and go next time - now I think you've made up our minds for us - sounds great!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

The Disney resorts all have their own decorations, Christmas trees and special festive events going on in December so it's nice to go resort hopping to have a look round and perhaps try one of the resort restaurants for lunch :)

We got round the pool a few times the last Christmas we went :thumbsup2 Also love to go to Celebration - the dolls shop is lovely for my DD. Spent a few $$ on my niece there in October :)

There is plenty to do, just going around the resorts, DTD, Celebration, all amazing to see.
Never been but some like going to see ICE http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/ICE-gaylord/
