Pool Question

Hi everyone,

I know that when you stay at one resort, you can't use the pool at another. I am just wondering if this rule applies if family members are staying at two different resorts (we are staying at one resort and my cousin is staying at another.) I know our kids will want to swim together. Is this possible?

I am asking because we haven't made our reservations yet, and I am making my pros/cons list of whether we should change our preferred resort choice to stay at the resort my cousin is planning to stay at. We really want to stay at a family suite at AoA, and my cousin is staying in one of the royal rooms at POR. Will our children be able to swim together if we stay at different resorts?

Please no flames - I am not trying to get "around" the rules, I'm just making sure I understand them correctly.

Thanks so much!

I figured - soooo not looking forward to THAT meltdown when the kids find out. :rotfl: But I'm not sure it's a good enough reason to switch resorts.

Not sure what you budget is..but if you add the Water Parks option to your tickets you could all spend the day swimming together at one of them. :goodvibes

We're going in November - is it worth it to pay extra for waterparks during that time of year? We've only ever been in the spring and early summer, so I'm not sure of the temps. (I mean, I know what the statistics say, but I'd rather hear from someone who's actually experienced it!!)

Not sure ..I have never been in Nov.
We have been in Sept - DEFINATELY hot enough.:cool2:
We have been in Dec - we froze our tails off.

The more pressing question is..why do your posts keep showing up above mine?

The official answer as always is no. But....depending on capacity, you may be able to ASK and RECEIVE permission for them or you to visit. We did. All-stars said yes. Caribbean Beach said yes. Port Orleans said no, official policy, blah blah blah. Incidentially, we were staying at POFQ at the time.

oh, we asked the lifeguards. They agreed because the pools were almost deserted. Yeah October.

Your last post showed up as 7:55 PM, but it's now only 7:14 PM. As we are both on the east coast, time zones difference is not the reason. Evidently, you are posting from the future. Very cool. :rotfl:

What the???? :confused3:confused3 If I find a place that shows lottery numbers for today, I will post them.

Ok - this post shows as 8:24 - but it is only 7:34...I am starting to scare myself! lol!

Can you go a little further into the future and let me know if they will be offering free dining in November? :rotfl:

But then I wil be older than I am now..and i really don't want that..so you will have to wait. (can't wait to see what time I am really *in* now)

ETA: 9:27?!?!?! apparently I am still 1 hour ahead ... !!!!

This is my experience as well. We were at POR and we were allowed, per the POR CM's/ lifeguards to have our guests swim with us. While it was busy at the resort (booked to capacity) it was late afternoon and the pool was not particularly crowded.

I do believe there is one exception to the rule. POR and POFQ are sister resorts and you can use either pool. When we stayed at POR, we went to check out the pool at POFQ and eat in the food court. As far as I know, that still applies. Just a thought...
