You don't have to be a dvc to poolhop do you?? If you are staying on rented points you do get to hop, correct?

Technically according to the rules, if you paid to rent points, no. But guests of members who do not pay get member priviledges. But in reality, they usually give renters a "dvc member" room key, not knowing if you paid or not, so you may be able to do it.
