Pool Hopping to Poly.. 2014?

We are thinking of maybe pool hopping to the Poly when we are staying at BLT this March.
Has anyone every done this? If so, how did it work out for you?
And does anyone know if they released the dates for Pool Hopping for 2014 yet?

We did it in may and it couldn't have been smoother. We actually changed in the bathrooms at the poly pool. We were staying at BLT. We rode the monorail, swam, and then watched the fireworks from the beach. We were never asked to present DVC ID but were prepared to do it, if asked.

I am so glad you posted... I thought the Poly was off limits! Now if I could just get good weather in February...

We are heading down in March but aren't staying at a DVC resort. So I've been reading the resorts board to try and decide between the Poly and the Yacht Club. Over there they are reporting that the pool will be getting resurfaced (I think it starts in January or February) and that the volcano will be dismantled. It apparently is part of the new DVC construction. Many are changing their reservations to stay somewhere else.

that's too bad, my daughter was really looking forward to the pool. Oh well its not like there are TONS of other things to do at BLT maybe we'll rent the little boats for the morning...

(btw big thanks to you...as you can see in siggy we bought DVC b/c we had such a great time thanks to you all way back when!)

I did notice in your signature that you are now owners. Congratulations!! We've never had extra points again so that was the one and only time we rented points!

BLT is great, not sure if you've been there before but we really liked it when we stayed there. Unfortunately, we have not been back to VWL in literally years. The lure of a one bedroom that sleeps five with the sleeper chair has been too much for us, so we have been staying at the resorts that offer that.

BLT is great, not sure if you've been there before but we really liked it when we stayed there. Unfortunately, we have not been back to VWL in literally years. The lure of a one bedroom that sleeps five with the sleeper chair has been too much for us, so we have been staying at the resorts that offer that.

We've never been to BLT ... but funny ..the sleeper chair for that 1 bedroom did factor into our choice!

We'll be there from the March 15-25th maybe we'll catch the last day or so!

I'm pulling up this old thread to let you know I read that the Poly pool construction has been pushed back to May. So maybe you can pool hop to the Poly after all! I can tell you my kids loved the slide there and it is such a beautiful setting.
