Pool Hopping ???s

I've been wondering about pool hopping. I tried searching the boards but I got some kind of error so I'm asking here. Sorry if this is a topic that has been covered ad nauseum before.

Can DVC members still pool hop at other resorts? If so, is that ANY Disney resort or just DVC resorts. Also, I've read here that they have stopped allowing pool hopping at Stormalong Bay. (Of course I heard that before I even realized that pool hopping *might* be an option )

Can anyone shed some light on these questions? We're actually going to be "home" longer than usual and might enjoy some pool hopping "down time".

Lisa, you are correct,no pool hopping to SAB since the opening of BCV. All other resorts,DVC and WDW, are fair game BUT you need to contact the front desk of the resort you wish to hop to to verify it is not closed to hopping due to crowds.If you look at the DVC members web site they spell out the program and also list any blackout dates. Have fun.

You can't pool hop to AKL. DVC members have never been allowed there. Also, since Disney doesn't own or operate the Swan & Dolphin Hotels, you can't pool hop there, either. Other than those and SAB, you are free to pool hop to any of the WDW resort pools, subject to blackout dates and permission of the resort with the pool.
