pool hopping question

ok. here's another pool hopping question.
I know that if you are staying at another resort besides YC, BC or BCV, you cannot get into SAB. But--if you are staying at BCV, can you pool hop to Luna Park at BWV? Or are you just not allowed to pool hop at all?

Yes, if you are staying at BCV you can pool hop to Luna Park and all the other pools except AKL.

Make sure you have your room key that says "member" on it. We stayed at VWL this summer and spent an afternoon pool hopping. We were asked for ID at the Poly, and SAB (when you could hop there), but no one said a word at Luna Park. And we looked like we were pool hopping.....coming right off the boardwalk with a pool bag full of clothes and snacks!

BTW.....our DSs, 12 and 13, thought the Poly had the best pool!!

We will be members soon (in the process) at BCV. I know you need your member card, but I wasn't sure about where you could or could not go since the changes were made to pool hopping.

Just to clarify - you don't need your DVC member card to pool hop. You need your Resort ID and that Resort ID must say member on it. (You are not entitled to pool hop unless you are staying at a DVC resort on points).

I know there is no more pool hopping at SAB , it stopped in june when we were last there, we did use SAB one last time our IDs where checked and it did say dvc member but there was nothing on the card to say what resort we were from and the color of the card is all the same, what has changed to let them know what resort your from.

The CMs can tell the resort by the ID # on the bottom of your card.

Hi disvaclub!!!

My DSs are funny...we went to SAB, Luna Park, and the Poly all in one afternoon and they loved the Poly!!! They liked the slide through the volcano and the water fall. They were playing hide and seek and thought there were many fun places to hide in the pool.......go figure! I thought it was nice, especailly the hammocks DH and I found, but would not rank it as my favorite! Oh well.....kids always surprise us!
