We have never pool hopped before and we were wondering if it is easy to do.
We are staying at BWV this summer and would like to go to the Poly pool after dinner at Kona Cafe and watch the fireworks. I stayed there way back in the day (1975) and I think our kids would get a kick out of the waterfall at the pool. ( I hope it's still there?!) Please send along your experiences and thoughts. Thanks :earsboy: :earsgirl: princess: pirate:

Well, the Poly pool was totally redone just a couple of years ago but I think they still have a waterfall! We walked around the Poly when we were staying at VWL last Christmas. I think it would be fun to hop over there, but will you need to change clothes? I am not sure if the resort pools have changing rooms??

We stayed at the Poly 2 years ago and they do still have the waterfall. My children, although quite young at the time, really enjoyed the pool there. :thumbsup2

I have used the rest rooms near the pool to change several times, often when checking out and enjoying my afternoon before returning to MCO. I have also used pool rest rooms at CSR when pool hopping. Love their hot tub! ;)

July 1 - 8, 2006 is excluded. Plus the mid summer is busier increasing the likelihood of capacity closures. If your visit is not during the time PH is off limits, you are required to call the resort in advance and check to see if PH is available at that time.

Thanks everyone. I'll call Poly before we leave for dinner that night. We will be there in late August so I hope a lot of the schools are already back in session. Have a great Disney day :sunny:

People change in the disabled restrooms because they are larger.

I ride a wheelchair. grrrrrrrr!

Andrew-I would never do that. It's just a matter of common courtsey and I was brought up right! :sunny:

Can anyone share any experiences, good or bad, about pool hopping? I'm a little nervous since it's going to be our first attempt. :thanks:

We were just at OKW last week and we went over to SSR and used their pool for the afternoon. I checked with the front desk at OKW before we left just to make sure it was okay and the very nice CM said it would fine. We rode the boat over to SSR and a CM from SSR was at the boat dock when we got off. I told her we were staying at OKW and wanted to swim in their pool for the afternoon. I asked her did we need to show someone our resort keys and she said no. She walked us to the pool and told us to have a wonderful time. We really liked the SSR pool! I wasn't aware that you could pool hop at a non-DVC resort, but I guess you can. Sure wish I had of known that. Our DD loves the Poly pool. We stayed there a couple of years ago and she would like to stay there again! Maybe someday! :)
