Pool hopping at Universal Hotels?

Does anybody know if its OK for Portofino guests to try the Hard Rock Hotel pool (and for HRH guests to use the pools at Portofino)?

We're planning on staying at Portofino in August.

We were at the HRH and used both pools and it was okay. There wasn't anyone checking actually. From HRH to PBH pool you cross the main road and follow the signs to the beach pool. You actually go around the pool before you get to an entrance.
