Pool Hopping as a DVC member

Hello everyone. I have a question about how pool hopping works as a DVC member. We are heading down for a 16 day trip. The first 3 days will be at OKW and we are planning to use this time to acclimate to the heat, time change, and relax. We are not hitting any parks until day 4 when we move to BLT. My hubby has booked some golf and I was thinking about taking our 4yo son pool hopping as swimming is just as important to him as the parks.

I was thinking about CBR for the pirate play area as he loves pirates. Where else do you think he would enjoy? He loves toddler slides but not the larger slides. I know we can not go to Stormalong Bay. Are there other pools that we can not hop to?

Sorry to bring up a heated topic just want to plan a few relaxing and water filled days with my son.

AKV and BLT pools are off limits unless staying there as well. Have a wonderful trip !

SSR has a small slide... and a spray pad area. also has zero entry with water spouts that shoot water!

No pools at all at YC/BC/BCV as well as the others already mentioned.

Plus their are black out times around the holidays.

POFQ has a fun pool for little kids - the Sea Serpent slide is fun.

CSR has a neat pool. The Dig Site is cool.

We stayed at SSR last year so I think a trip back to visit that pool is a must. We were also debating POR and FQ since they are accessible by boat? Is that correct?

It is now a longer boat ride as you have to go to DTD and change boats ... then come all the way back past OKW to get to PORS or FQ.

The slides our kids have loved are PO both resorts,SSR, CBS, CSR and the Poly. BW isn't too bad if you don't mind the clown slide (mine didn't care) and WL has a nice slide too.

FYI From Members Site:

Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas. There are no exceptions to this policy. As a reminder, during times of high occupancy, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, Disney Vacation Club Members and any Guests staying with them may not pool hop during the following dates*:

•February 14-20, 2010 (Sun – Sat)
•March 27 – April 10, 2010 (Sun – Sat)
•May 28 – 31, 2010 (Fri – Mon)
•June 27 – July 5 (Sun – Mon)
•Sept 3 – 6, 2010 (Fri – Mon)
•Nov 22 – 28, 2010 (Mon – Sun)
•Dec 12, 2010 – Jan 2, 2011 (Sun – Mon)

*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity
