I am considering renting a house with a 12' X 24' pool next June. Should I spring for the pool heat? My guess is the pool will be used mostly at night when we get back from the parks.

Thank you for your input.

You shouldn't need pool heat in June. Normally temperatures are high enough to heat the pool water naturally.

If you want a spa heated, now that is a different matter. (You didn't say if you are having a spa or not)

Is it solar, electric or gas pool heat?

We've never been in June, so I have no idea what the pool would get to on a sunny day without any additional heating...that being said, I likes my pools a toasty warm 84* :teeth:

We just got back last weekend, and had some lovely temperatures during the day, up to mid 80's. But the evenings were on the chillier side...and was happy to have our gas heated pool lovely and warm.

Just my personal preference, YMMV :)

Just ask the owner/managment company that you're renting from. They should be able to give you a good idea of what temp your pool should be around that time of year.

HTH!!

:)
