We are thinking of renting a private house for the first week in May and are not sure if we need to get the pool/spa heated or not? We have two small children (21 months and 3.5) and don't want the pool to be cold. Any input/suggestions??

We rented an Executive Pool Home from Premier last September ( loved it by the way ). I was foolish enough to think that a whole summer full of warm weather meant we would not need pool heat. I could not have been more wrong! It was so cold, that we could not even force ourselves into it and I wasnt going to let my 4yo daughter in it until it was heated for a day or so. I don't think this is true of every home out there, but beware!

Have a great trip!

It really depends on the weather in the days prior to and during your trip. Of course, there is no way to predict that. It also depends on how warm you like your pool water.

If you prefer warmer water and want to be safe, go for the pool heat. If you're willing to wait and take your chances, I think the companies may let you call when you get there and have it turned on as long as you pay the fee. I would ask about that before you decide.
