Pool heat in early May

We are renting a home in Davenport from May3-11- do you think we will need pool heat? TIA, Jen

We were at Indian Creek last year in the beginning of May. We are from the Chicago area and can handle cold, but I would get the pool heated. It makes a big difference and we mostly swam at night when we got back from dinner. Hope this helps!

Most owners will tell you pool heat Nov-April, personally, we have our pool heated in May, we're from Chicago too (brr!!) and like our pool nice and toasty warm, especially on a cool May evening after the parks...but up to you! It's early May too so it's borderline, of course it depends on the weather, you could have a warm spell and not need it at all really.

Ask the owner if the pool heat is not to your liking can you have it turned off and be refunded the amount of days you do not use it.

I like pool heat always. I like relaxing late at night when it is quiet. It is enjoyable to have it at a warmer temp. JMHO

I agree. We've gotten pool heat in mid-May and even though it was in the high 80's during the day, we did most of our swimming at night after visiting the parks so it was really nice to have the pool heated. It really extends the amount of usable pool time.

We go in May as well and have the pool heated as we mainly use it early mornings and late evening,

We are from Canada, the first year we didn't bother with the pool heat, and it reminded me of going to the beach, it was chilly getting in but after that it was good. We had really hot weather both years the first of May and found the cooler water refreshing,(not so much in the evening)! Our second year we rented a home with a hot tub and had both heated, found that pool was a little too warm in the day time but just right in the evening. This year we are heating the hot tub and not bothering with pool heat. I hope it warms up a little before we go!
