pool being upgraded?

I read rumors that they were upgrading the pool, making a splash zone and a slide? Is this true and does anyone know the timeline if it is?

Search for 'pool', and you'll find lots of posts on this subject. A press news wire confirmed the pool upgrade plans (describing the upgrade as converting one of the pools to a theme pool with a slide), but the dates are still only rumor. Many posts point to a likely start in January, but the time to complete and re-open is still only conjecture.

I asked a few CMs while we were there last week. They all said Jan 09 to start construction.

Recent Dis poster (can't find the thread) talked with someone working on the renovations throughout FW and that person stated pool construction would be started in Jan and finished in Feb.

Haven't found anything anywhere that's actually been confirmed by Disney.

I have read elsewhere about the possibilities of a hot tub. Anybody heard anything about that? We're trying to decide when to go and a hot tub may just sway us towards the colder season.
