We will be taking a 7 day Eastern October 16th. I have a few questions for those of you who have been on the cruises before. Do we nee to bring our own beach towels or are they available on CC and at the pool? Are swimming wings allowed in the Disney pools? Do they rent life vests on the CC for my adventurous boys or should I bring them? Other than sand toys is there any toy you bring and have found really useful. I am planning on bringing the goggles and swim shoes. One last question. Is CC rather calm or can the waves be powerful? Thanks for the help. :earsgirl:

I'll answer the questions I can for you. Beach towels are provided. They're fine for drying off but not real big if you wanted to lie down on them. Not sure about the swim wings. Life vests are available for free on CC and are mandatory for snorkeling. The two times we've been to CC it's been very calm (and gorgeous!). Hope this helps, I'm sure there will be others who can answer the rest of your questions. Happy planning!

Towels will be provided both at the pools and when you go on shore. They are bath-sized towels. If you want beach towels, you will need to bring your own.

I did not see anyone with water wings in the pools. My kids stayed in the Mickey pool and it was very shallow.

Flotation devices are required for snorkelers at CC. They are the type that you blow into to inflate. They are basically for visual guidance for the life guards. They are available at the life guard stands.

There are virtually no waves at the family beach CC. The beach is sheltered by a reef-like structure. I wish I could draw you a picture so you could see what I mean.

We brought only beach towels and some water balls for our kids to play with. They had a blast! Hope you do too.

You are provided towels as you get off the boat or stations around the pool. There are also Beach Towels for sale if you like. They are $20.00. Great keepsake - DCL exclusives.

Depending on the age of the kids, the pools are fine without waterwings. Mickey pool is real shallow. I think like 18 inches or something. Goofy pool is also only 4 feet deep. So if they are taller they will be fine, if they are smaller they will be fine either way.

CC doesn't really have waves, the beach is sheltered as mentioned below and shallow for quite a distant at some spots. It is beautiful. The rent floats and tubes and water craft for your enjoyment. I think vests are available no charge.
