Pool at OKW

Justt back from a great 10 day WDW and DCL vacation, it was the best. The only thing I did notice is that the pool at Turtle Pond was very dirty. a black ring of dirt around the entire pool. I did mention it at the front desk one day when I was buying tickets. Has any of the other pools had this problem.

I know they are in the process of renovating those pools. Perhaps what you saw was as a result of that?

I just returned today from Seven days at OKW and had no problems of any nature actually. We only went to the main pool.
I own a pool and had to regunite the pool once and had a powdery white/gray/dark substance as a residue for some time. In fact we had to brush the walls of the pool about 4-5 weeks.
I'm not sure if that has anything to do with your pool experience or not but it is worth considering.
The family loved the whole trip but really enjoyed just hanging out at OKW. First time we'd really done that. We ate tons of food all over the place and a great time was had by all!

I was there May 9 to 16, they were working on the Turtle Pond pool then, so it's only been a month since the renovation.

My husband and I were at WDW in early May. We took a look around OKW because we're planning on staying there for the 1st time in Oct. Anyways, one of the pools was surrounded by those things that are put up to keep construction from view. We peeked in and it was totally drained. That must have been the pool that you're talking about, because they were definitely renovating it. I think you just saw some residue from the renovation. Other than that, did you like the main pool? My DH and I are big pool fans, and we are looking forward to hanging out at the OKW pool
