We have not stayed at the Poly because it has no hot tubs and among other things, our girls think they are hilarious and fun. We like them too!
The GF slide is pretty quick, but you can collect kids as they come off. The quiet pool is nice and big and visibility at both pools is excellent. The visual of the GF "fun" pool disappearing into the beach and lagoon is cool too. The YC/BC pools are very expansive, but they are separated and provide areas for little ones and bigger ones. The lazy river part is quite deep and not an easy time without floatation devices. In addition to the big slide, there is a little slide behind it with a splash pool for little kids right on the edge of Crescent Lake - it's a nice little spot with a good view. You cannot easily see both ends of that slide - you want to be sending bigger kids with strong swimming abilities on that trip.
WL has been our favorite pool - the slide empties into a good spot for kid catching and the overall layout of the pool makes for easy management of kid safety. The kiddie pool is also nice and the hot tubs are right next to the geyser. Additionally the quiet pool over by the villas is in a good secluded area with ample shade.
The Contemporary pool has a good slide and is laid out so you can see the whole pool area from everywhere but the little splash fountain area. There's also a ping-pong table which my daughter likes a lot.
If I had to pick solely on pools, we'd probably go with Wilderness Lodge. We also really like the resort in general, so we would pick it for other reasons as well.
