Pool alternatives?

With the main pool at BWV closed for renovation. Where can we take kids to swim?

It hasn't been announced. In the past they've sometimes made Stormalong Bay an option.

The quiet pool at BW is open, and with BWI proper closed is pretty quiet.

The Leisure pool is pretty big. They stopped calling it a quiet pool many years ago as families are always there.

Just to be clear, the main pool at BWV is not closed. Just the slide is closed during October.

Disney's announcement does not indicate that they will make other pools available (such as Stormalong Bay) during the renovation.

I'm not sure whether DVC pool hopping privileges are available at this time or not. I seem to remember at one point that they were suspended but not sure if they are back or not. If not, then it does not appear that a pool with a slide will be available for your children during an October visit. If pool hopping privileges are allowed, then you can go to any of the pools that are available that way.

When SAB was closed in the summer, they allowed BCV guests to use Luna Park. It’s not considered pool hopping when Disney does it because of a shut down of a pool.

In this case, they may allow BWV guests to go to SAB as a backup with the slide closed, However, the fact that at least the pool remains open, given capacity limits, it’s very possible they will not so SAB is not overcrowded.

I agree that they may let guests go to SAB. I guess it depends on what resort reservations look like in general. But at this time, the Disney information doesn't talk about alternatives.

The pool itself isn’t closed, just the slide is. It says the pool itself will still be open. I don’t know if they will let people go to SAB for just the slide being closed.

With capacity limits due to Covid, I am thinking they won't allow the use of SAB, but I could be wrong.
