Pooh's Grand Adventure The Search For Christopher Robin

I found a movie called Pooh's Grand Adventure The Search For Christopher Robin and I would like to know more about it? From what I read about this movie Christopher Robin is supposed to be going to school but gets lost and Pooh and his friends search for him in a thrilling adventure. Was this movie going to be the first of a series of direct to video Winnie The Pooh movies? From the previews from when this movie was released in 1998 it looked cute and I find it odd that this wasn't a movie Disney put in theaters like they did with The Tigger Movie and the other Winnie The Pooh movies. Pooh's Grand Adventure also featured the music of TV host Kathie Lee Gifford as she sang cute songs in the movie. Was Disney having high hopes for Pooh's Grand Adventure when it was released?

I think this movie was the start of Disney introducing Winnie The Pooh to a new generation of fans and based on the success of Pooh's Grand Adventure they went on to create the other Winnie The Pooh movies that went to theaters. I was surprised that Kathie Lee Gifford was singing the songs in the movie and she was wonderful. I wonder why Disney has not made any more Winnie The Pooh movies since the Winnie The Pooh movie came out in the 2010's?
