Please do not flame me, I am really just asking for input. I rode the Pooh ride last year (1st trip) and even my DD6 said it was boring. Can you please tell me why you love this ride? I was going to skip it this trip but if the kids might enjoy it this time, I hate to rule it out. So many seem to love it.
TIA!

Well, it's the same track as Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. That was one of our favoirtes and we liked it better than the Pooh ride. I'd only go on if you could get on with no wait like during Cinderellabration.

I do enjoy the ride because I think it is very cute. It is not a must see for us though and I really liked Mr. Toad's Wild Ride much better.

Our DS's are now over 25, but when we are at WDW we do this together, usually getting a picture of me with at least one of them by the pictures of the characters on the wall near the entrance to the ride. We all remember listening to the Pooh records, when the rain rain rain came down down down....! We wore those records out when they were young!

So, sentimental reasons for us. We don't do it when DS's aren't with us.

Sure we all miss Mr. Toad, but we'll go with Winnie the Pooh!

Bobbi :goodvibes

We don't love the ride either. We do it every year though because that's what Disney is all about!! pooh:

If you think the MK Pooh ride is boring, do not, I repeat, do not go on the one at DL under any circumstances. I think MK's Pooh is enjoyable. DL's Pooh is only worth going on if you're 3 years old and you really like one of the Pooh characters.

Then the rain rain rain came down down down and frightened little piglet.............. :rolleyes1
We enjoy it but we have little little guys-- 3 year old and a 1 year old.

It's cute & you get to go :tigger: :tigger: :tigger: :tigger: !!!!

You bounce! DD3 remembers it as the bouncy ride. That's why we like it.

But the Que is better at DL and the Honeypots as well.

We only go if there is no line.

We liked Mr. Toad much better!

I think it's kinda cute - it's better then Dumbo or Small World IMO. But I do miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. :bounce:

How is it worse than Snow White or Peter Pan? It's the same ride except it's Winnie the Pooh. And if you hadn't noticed he's a somewhat popular character.

I love the Pooh ride! I don't think it's boring at all.

(that's all I could think to say so I made it really big. lol)

But yes, it;s very cute and I love the Pooh cartoons so I suppose if you didn't that would take away from it. They also use very nice Sp/FX for a dark ride.

No doubt the little ones like this ride. But I have been wondering WHY the ride is a fastpass attraction. I suggested in another thread that since the Pooh ride was accorded the status of being a fastpass ride, and therefore popular, perhaps the Figment ride in Epcot should also be made into a fastpass ride, thus causing it to also be very popular.

Figment ride is much better done, methinks, than Pooh.

Enjoy

I do miss Mr Toad's Wild Ride but I like Pooh's ride. The first time I rode it I didn't really like it. The next time I rode it I liked it. pooh:

I never got a chance to ride it when it belonged to Mr Toad. I've always known it as pooh's place. I don't think this ride is spectacular by any means, nor am I a big old pooh fan.

But, it's Disney. And it's much more enjoyable to bouncin in a honey pot w/lil pooh, piglets, eyeores, and tiggers around me then sittin at work surrounded by phone calls, problems and idiot co-workers.

:tigger: pooh: :eeyore:

Not all attractions are made for everyone. I think we all have those a "Pooh" attraction in the park.

You can please some of the people all of the time. And all of the people some of the time. BUT.. Never all of the people all of the time.

It's not the biggest highlight of my MK visits, but I do think it's cute and nicely done, especially for the little ones. I don't have any little ones, but someday, if I have grandkids, I look forward to introducing them to the Pooh ride - I'm sure they'll be thrilled. :thumbsup2

Disney knew what it was doing when they opened this one - all the kids know Pooh and it was an instant hit. It was all bottom-line marketing people. ;)

This is my 4 year old DDs favorite ride at MK. I also like Pooh so I didn't mind riding it 5 times during our last trip or standing around for 30 minutest while she played at Pooh's playground. I'm sure when she gets bigger she won't be so entranced by this ride but it is definitely a huge hit with the toddlers and preschoolers who love Pooh.
