This may sound odd...but one of the main reasons we don't go to 'reg' amusement parks is because of DH's pooh sized belly and my uummm 'girls' being more then bountiful... :lmao: so our question is, are there many if any rides at DL that we would not be able to ride due to size?:rolleyes1 Thanks in advance for any information you all could share. :yay: Have a great Monday. :dance3:

They are very size-friendly.

Hubby has a big belly, and while he's not super-comfy on things like Dumbo, he can do it. The ONLY ride he hasn't been able to go on was Maliboomer, and that's b/c of his unique shape...he has a very broad back, and then lots of padding on the broad back, and the combo of that and his belly made it impossible for the CM to get the clip from the shoulder harness to the seat closed. They were very nice about it, but coudln't get it clipped, so he coudn't ride.

I will recommend against the front seat of the ride vehicle on the Pooh ride; it seems to be just a bit smaller than the other seats, and it makes it harder for bigger people, or people with knee problems, to get in and out.

I am also "pooh sized"

I am 5'8" and around 300lbs. My wife is pretty much the same size.

We have ridden (in the same row)
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Indiana Jones (tight fit, the outsides of my thighs hurt a bit from all the tusseling)
teacups
jungle cruise

We have ridden seperately: (either in seperate cars or rows)
Mr. Toads
Winnie The Pooh
Splash Mountain
Thunder mountain railroad
peter pan
snow white
pinocchio
alice in wonderland

We have seasons passes and havent made it to DCA yet so I don't know about their rides. We haven't tried Nemo as I have heard it is VERY tight fit for pooh sized folks

I was VERY nervous about trying any of these rides. The thought of going to get onto the ride and being denied was mortifying to me. After the advice of some people on the boards we went on these and LOVED it all.

I agree with the pooh ride, but I think all the rows make it tough on the knees- if you ride alone it gives you a bit better room.

I rode Pooh for the first time on Saturday and agree that the knee thing is a difficulty--I have two replaced knees and it was uncomfortable--I was in the second row.

I'm 5' nothing, and had no problem with Pooh, so I suppose it depends how tall you are.

I was terrified about the weight thing before we went in September! BUT, the wonderful people here assured me I'd have no problems, and boy...were they right!

I had no problem fitting on any ride that I wanted to go on...I'm pretty sure you'll be JUST fine!

For reference, in September, I was about 250, and 5'0", large busted too....no problem.

I'm less now, and can't WAIT to go back! I'm hoping weighing less will help with the sore feet....by the third day, my feet were wrapped in medical tape in hopes of helping my blisters....it didn't help.

You'll be fine...have FUN!!!

I am pretty big for my age (I have no problem admitting). I LOVE disneyland because most of their rides are able to fit the bigger sized people, like me! It's hard for me to say but I weigh more than 300 and am 5'5. I know, it's a lot for my age but I am not going to go into anymore explanation. Anyways, I have gotten to ride all the rides I wanted to go on. Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Tower of Terror, Thunder Mountain, and I could go on. The only ride that gave me a problem (but I was still able to ride it) was Space Mountain. I wasn't that comfortable with my legs under the bar but I was good enough to ride it without a problem.

So, I am sure you guys will be fine! And I hope you guys love your trip! :thumbsup2

:yay: So much everyone for all of your honest answers. We have been to DL years [about 10] ago, and sadly both of us were a little smaller then... but as one poster said my DH is also 5'10" and around 320... I am 5 even and am :rolleyes1 240:rolleyes1 but have ALWAYS had a D+ cup and any harness that go over your shoulder WILL NOT fit me :headache: I am beyond thrilled to know we will not have any problems :dance3: Disney Land here we come... Well, at least in June we will :lovestruc

I am glad you got the answers you needed! And this is very off topic but I love your daughter's name. My name is also Macy. :D

I would imagine Mulholland Madness at DCA might be a tight fit for the bigger folks out there. It seems like a tight fit even for the smaller sized people. Anyone have any experiences with that one?

It was fine for me (mulholland madness)....no problem at all :)

There you go Rebecca...we're the same size, so you can know for sure you'll be A-OK!

I've seen that mentioned recently, and recent riders said that they changed the lap bar in some way, and now it's easier than it was in the past. I haven't been on that ride at all yet, so I'm only writing what I read here and on mouseplanet. :)

I don't think you'll have any problem. My "girls" are pretty good sized (maybe bigger than you) and I don't ever have trouble with shoulder restraints on CA Screamin' (but then they fit at any park and roller coaster I've tried--which is the vast majority of coasters in S CA). I'm about 5'4" and around 200 and a 44 DDD.

Yes they did. In the past they had a "T" shaped safety bar that came between both riders. This made a much tighter fit for a Pooh Size person in the past. Now they are individual like normal rides. One of our last trips my sister and I rode and she found it much more comfortable.

She is almost 6ft and not petite. The only ride she has had an issue with has been Space Mountain recently because she is pooh sized and tall she was unable to ride in the front seat but could sit in the back rows. They were very nice about switching us.
