Well, all good things must come to an end, and our Disneyland experience was no exception. We weren't going to waste one minute of our last day, so we once again headed to the park early, getting to the gate just after 8:00 a.m. Rushed to get Space Mountain fastpasses--pooh, ride down. Ah well, head over to Critter Country, where we ride Pooh--cute, cute, cute. Then on to Haunted Mansion again--could have ridden that several more times--so much to look at! On to Tea Cups, back to Space Mountain (we jumped around a lot that day!)
(BTW--we spent a couple afternoons at the pool at the Disneyland Hotel, and do you know what Disneyspeak is for poop in the pool? Code P. CM said during the summer, they have 2 or 3 Code P's a day, but only once while we were there. And no, I didn't do it! They have to close the pool for an hour with a Code P. Nasty business.)
Took a lunch break--back to the Hotel for Goofy's Kitchen. Excellent food! And great character interaction. Loved the Mad Hatter--kids had never met him before. Chip was wonderful--drew an elaborate Merry Christmas greeting on my tablecloth for me. All the servers were friendly, happy. Really good time--highly recommend it!
Back to Disneyland for the parade--not the Christmas one, the parade that deals with Walt's imagination or something to that effect. Enjoyed it very much.
More rides, some shopping, some snacking. We really wanted to stay til closing (midnight), but after the fireworks/snow, we were pooped. My DD and I headed back while DH and DS decided to hit Buzz one last time. They waited in line for 20 minutes, only to have the ride break down and thus shut down for the night. :guilty: Disappointing for DS, but hey, he was in Disneyland--how disappointed could he be?
Overall, the trip had been magical--truly--with happy CM's, lovely weather, heart-tugging fireworks and parades, thrilling rides, and although the crowds were fierce at times, everyone seemed to be happy and smiling and there were no sour moments.
We vowed to return to Disneyland again soon--in fact, we agreed we'd go back to California before we returned to Florida!
Disneyland fans--I get it now. You are right. Your park is magic. I still love WDW--don't get me wrong--but DL is amazing. :flower:

I loved your reports, make me so excited for our trip in one month.
