Does anyone have experience with the pontoon boat excursion from the Contemorary to see the magic kingdom fireworks?

I know that the fireworks is new. I was able to get a ressie for my son's 8th birthday Jan. 3rd after dinner at Chef Mickey's.

I hear a lot about the illum. cruise but I haven't heard any feedback on this.

Our experience was some years ago now but we loved it.

We were staying at the Polynesian but having dinner at Narcoossee's so we were picked up at the GF. We toured around the lakes for a while and then stopped directly in front of the MK and out maybe 100 yds?? At any rate, we were far enough out to have a great view of the fireworks. It was wonderful...really beats being in the crowds at the park and affords a closer view than the Polynesian or GF although we love the fireworks from those resorts.

Anyway, from Billybaruchs trip report it sounds as if Wishes is best viewed with a deadon to the castle viewpoint and you will have this on the cruise. I think it's a wonderful treat for your son's birthday. Have fun.

We'll be there in two and a half weeks and I'm really looking forward to seeing Wishes.

Thanks for the input. We have a MK Wishes Fireworks Cruise on 12/20 that leaves from the Contemporary. I really am tickled to hear this. Mickey
