I called Disney and they said that all of them were out today and they are now considered regulars at Mexico for at least 2 months!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I wouldn't believe this unless I saw it! Jose was out??? He better still be out in five week when I get there! I just cancelled my trip for this week, even, or I could have checked right away! I can't wait to see if Panchito gets out there, too!!

WOW!!! There's a way to call Disney about characters?? If they are out for two months I will be thrilled, since my next trip is within that time frame!!

Yeah there is a way, call (407)824-4321 then press 0 to talk to an operator. After that you ask them that you want to know if a certain character is going to be out that day and they put you on hold so they can call the character hotline, then they get back to you and they tell you if the character will be out that day.

Also, I heard on a podcast I listen to that with the Epcot anniversery(sp) coming up, that they are bringing back alot of the older characters to this park.

I usually don't think of Epcot when I think of characters anyway. Although, I think there was a signing for the fab five near the American exhibit. And Pooh and friends were in england and now Nemo in the living seas with sightings of him around the park. I guess I will start thinking differently.

MickeyMaz - you're from KofP???? I worked in and around (Wayne) K of P for AT&T for several years. K of P was a major "stomping" ground for me in my single, before I was a mom days!!!!

EPCOT has become pretty good for characters with Character Connection in Future World, lots of classic characters. Figment, and I am sure others

World Showcase (these are the ones that we have seen)
China - Mulan and Mushu
Germany - Snow White and sometimes dwarves
Italy - Gepetto and on occasion Jiminy
Morocco - Jasmine, Aladdin, The Genie
France - Belle, Beast, Aurora
UK - a real menagerie - Pooh characters, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins
Canada - Brother Bear - Kenai & Coda at times
and now MEXICO - HOORAY!

Yep - just broke! My old car needs a new muffler and my car insurance is due, too! I am also going for 10 days in early November with two other families (and staying at the Swan!), so it was hard to justify this quick MNSSHP trip! And hearing there was not much new at MNSSHP was probably the clincher. Though now hearing Jose is out ....!! Good thing is, hopefully he will be still out in five weeks! I just hope Panchito gets out there, too!

Here the are... my picture of the Three Caballeros today! That's MY (not Tara's) Donald stuffed toy that Donald is holding. I have wanted him FOREVER (well three years) and decided the day that I got to "met" him for real was as good a day as any! It cost me a toy for Tara as well - it was around 4:30 when we got to Mexico - long day in Future World - and she did not want to wait when the CM called and we were told they would be out at 4:50. I was NOT LEAVING Epcot with out this picture! The CMs in the little outside store in Mexico were so sweet today and happy to have characters in Mexico!

They are new this week. I had heard a rumor on this board and then a picture was posted from Wednesday on the Picture of the Day.. We already had lunch plans in EPCOT today - so my mission was to find them!

Thanks Dan! I had to bribe her to stay to see the characters yesterday, so she was happy to have gotten a gadget that she has been wanting for sometime! It was at the end of the day, and we had 1/2 hour to wait for them to come out!

This year we have really concentrated on characters. When we first moved here and she was 6 - we did some - if the lines were short but then for quite a while we would have the book, but she was not really all the interested. This year I got the "bug" and we have been really "worked" hard on building our collection! I also enjoy the character meals with all the different outfits!

Character Connection is in Innoventions West - it is really quite a nice place to meet and greet the classic characters, and some others at times - they are there all day from 9ish to 5 or 5:30 - indoors -next to the Fountainview. I guess it took the place of the character bus, which I have to admit we saw only once!

We are off to MK in a few minutes to catch the first day of Year of a Million Dreams - who knows - maybe we will win something (yeah right!)

We wound up spending way more time in EPCOT yesterday - Tara was having fun in the Innoventions buildings, and we had lunch at Garden Grill & did the Behinds the Seeds tour. This works out better anyway! We can just concentrate on the shows.

I was at Epcot the other day and about flipped when I saw Donald with Jose! I was going to post about it, but I forgot. I haven't seen Panchito yet. I love when they bring out rare characters! I am going back to Epcot this afternoon to check out the Food and Wine festival- yum yum!
