We usually stay at the Yacht Club, but this year we are planning to go December 4-10, which I heard is a good time and is value season, but we didn't see any deals or packages for the Yacht Club. So we are thinking about the Poly, but we have never stayed there. We usually connect Disney World with the Yacht Club because we have stayed there in 5 of our 6 past trips, will we not like the Poly and how does it compare to the Yacht Club?

Also any known deals at the Poly or any deals in December PLEASE tell!!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

We have stayed at the Poly and the Beach Club. The Epcot area is nice because you can walk to 2 parks, but I liked the Poly better. The grounds are gorgeous, and being able to jump on the monorail is fantastic. The restaurants at the Poly are great too. But the best thing about it for us was walking out of our room right onto the sand to watch the fireworks over the castle several nights. It was pure magic! I can't imagine going to the same resort multiple times, I want to try them all!! I have no idea about deals, there are no codes out for that timeframe yet.

DH and I are YC/BC addicts-we can't bring ourselves to stay anywhere else......

We usually go that very week that you are going in December and I find that if I book a room only reservation, inevitably a discount code comes out (in 2004 I would check www.mousesavers.com every day until one came up and then I called Disney CRO to change it to the discounted rate (It was about $80 per night savings~I think it came out in August or early Sept???

Staying at the Poly might be a nice change too-you're close to the MK and in the monorail loop to dine at the other restaurants (Contemporary and GF).... I know I can't get my DH to try any place else-he's soooooo not into change!!!! :rotfl: Good luck and hope a discount opens up for either!!!

We just came back from 7 nights at YC and 4 nights at the Poly. We definitely preferred the YC. However I think it depends on where you plan on spending most of your time. Poly is definitely very convenient for MK and Epcot and YC is the most convenient for Epcot and MGM.

i think it depends on where you go when there
also what theme you like the poly is lush and trpoical its beautiful
the pool is great and kona ohana are wonderful
theres the monorail to MK and epcot
walk to ttc and ferry to mk
there are so many options here
also the new rooms, with flat screent tvs an such
