Polynesian upgrade...or no?

Taking the wife and 4 kids in June. Is it even practical to request a free upgrade when we get there? Seems like a party of 6 is not the easiest to just reassign a room.

What are your dates? I can't even find a room at the Poly in June. It seems to be full, making an upgrade less likely.

We booked in February. But the logic does make sense. Booked is booked. It also kinda makes me have visions of standing at check- in and being told Ive been bumped..Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I'm not sure it's possible to request a free upgrade. I think it's something that has to come from the resort, not from you asking for it. Else, everyone would be asking, right?

When a free upgrade happens it's when the Cast Member types your name in the computer when you check-in and something will come up if you got a free upgrade. Basically it's totally random so I would not ask about a free upgrade, because it might put the Cast Member in an uncomfortable and awkward position.
