We have reservations at the Polynesian 12/8 - 12/12 it seems to be a very busy time and we were'nt able to get concierge service. I wonder what the chances are on paying to upgrading to concierge when we get there? Has anyone ever done this?

I have another question for Disney experts. We have tickets left over from our September trip that we are using on this December trip. Does anyone know if I can use the credit for the days left to upgrade to an Annual Pass?

Thanks,

Lyn

Keep calling. Concierge was booked for our last trip & a LVC opened up 2 weeks before we left.

I have the same concierge dilemma...we are there for our split stay (12/4-12/6) and concierge was available the morning we decided to try for the Poly and by the time we booked it was gone:(
I keep checking the online reservations but also plan to ask when we check-in...but we booked on a pin rate so I am not sure how much extra they would charge (i.e. rack rate or with the pin discount).
I hope someone has done this and could give us both advice!

I've had that happen as well.

I would try calling rather than hoping to catch an opening when you arrive. I think Hawaii stays pretty full. Have no idea about the pin thing though. :confused3 Never been so lucky. ;)

lynr, I think I've read that you can use unused days on a pass to upgrade to an AP although we've never done that as far as I can remember. Of course, there have been so many changes in the tickets this year that it could have changed as well. Have you tried asking on the theme parks forum? There is one poster there that really knows everything about tickets. Golden Oldie, I think??? I really should remember her name!!!

I just posted my question over there.

Yes you can, assuming that the tickets are still valid (have non expiration or have not yet been used). You cannot do this at the resorts though. You must do it at a Guest Relations location at the theme parks or at DTD. Remember that you can only apply one old ticket to one new ticket or AP.

And just to avoid any further problems, you are not upgrading the ticket. Many times people ask to "upgrade" as you spelled out, only to be told that they cannot because it can only be done in the first 14 days. You want to apply the dollar value of the old ticket towards a new AP. Do not ask to upgrade. Disneyspeak is not always the same as the King's English. ;) Some CMs would know what you want to do when you ask to upgrade, but some won't. Best to avoid the problem altogether.

Thanks for the information. I have tickets that have 4 days left on them and I have a new one day ticket that came with my package, so I can only use one of the tickets towards the Annual Pass is that correct?

I probably should have bought the Annual Passes in September but I didn't know I would be going back again in December and August.

Now that we are thinking about going for 10 days next November I thought it was time to think about the AP's.
