Staying at the poly in August standard room I requested Rarotonga or Fiji building? How does this sound? Any other suggestions? I like to be close to ceremonial house thanks!

Ask for a higher level lake view if you stay in Rarotonga... it’s a theme park view without paying for the upcharge. I think I was on the third floor. You can see the fireworks from your bed!

If the goal is to be close to GCH, I would request Rarotonga or Niue (just note, Niue only has two floors and the 2nd floor does not have balconies). Fiji is lovely, however, the standard view rooms face luau cove and you will hear the luau until a little after 10 pm on luau performance nights.

We stayed in Fiji las year and really enjoyed our standard view from here. It was serene and private. We only heard the luau music in our room with the balcony door open, but I don’t remember if we were ever in bed trying to sleep before 10 either. The walk from Fiji to the TTC is long(er) so it’s not the best location if you plan to walk straight to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail often. We really wanted a balcony, so our only request was a 3rd floor room. We’re doing the same request for 3rd floor this summer, and I’ll be very happy if we end up in Fiji again!

Rarotonga is IMO the best longhouse for Standard View if convenience is most important. You’re literally right at the GCH if you go out the front and if you go out the back you’re practically on top of the bus stop and TTC path. Also very close to both pools. We stayed there last fall and loved it.

Rarotonga was my request last year. Close to the main building and the pools.
We were put in Aerotoga or whatever it’s called. It did seem like a very quick walk to the main building to refill our mugs and grab food.
It was a hike to get to the laundry room though. We also never made it to the quiet pool because my feet were so sore and I didnt want to walk extra.
I would have preferred Rarotonga but Aerotonga wasn’t too bad
