polynesian resort pool

anyone with recent pics ...? How do you like it ?
My working collegue is going soon and asked if I had any info on it..
He is traveling with 2 kids ages 12 and 17.

is there a place to buy quick snacks while by the poolside ?

I would tell him to down load Google Earth. It gives you the possibility to "walk" over the resort grounds. It's really amazing.

Definitely go to the Poly thread which has lots of pics on the first page. Allearsnet also has some great photos of the resorts.

Poly has two pools - the Nanea volcano pool and the East Pool (commonly refered to as the quiet pool). The volcano pool has the Barefoot Pool bar that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks along with some snacks like chips. Capn Cooks quick service restaurant is very close to the volcano pool and many people order snacks or even a meal and bring it out to the pool area to eat.

The East Pool is a bit farther from the bar and restaurant but you can easily grab something from either place and take it to the east pool area to eat. It's only as far as one of the longhouses that separates it. Again, check the Poly thread and you'll see some great maps that guitarob has posted.

sure, the pool is always open and ready to use...
the pools are supposed to be heated, but I find the Polynesian pool water always to be on the cool side. Brrrr. But that's just me.
The Polynesian doesn't have a hot tub either.

I'm sure on a warm, sun-shiny day in the afternoon, swimming would be enjoyable.
