My family is thinking of staying at the Poly and I was wondering if it's worth the price. I'd appreciate
it if some of you could describe your experiences.

We stayed here last year - It was pricey, but we loved it. My kids are young - 2 and 4 - so the convenience was the best asset. Hop on the monorail - and there is the MK! IMO - you are paying a premium price for the convenience. I understand tht they have done some remodeling since we have been there - but the rooms themselves were not that great. Pools are nice -

I think that if the MK is your main destination - and if you have little ones that need midday naps - then it is expensive, but worth it. If my kids were older - we would prob try someplace else.

We don't have any little ones and both my dh and I love this disney resort for decor, service, convenience to monorails and landscaping decor. For us it's definately worth the money. :thumbsup2

Our kids LOVED it and husband and I had a BALL!!!! Our first Disney trip was last year,,, kids were 7 and 5. We are returning in a short month and a half! We went lagoon view --- worth every penny. This year we are going concierge lagoon view --- SOOO EXCITED! Our kids did one night at the Neverland Club and loved it while we ate at 'Ohana and loved it! We thought last year was a one time Disney thing...... and now look,,,, here we are again! The Polynesian is the reason!

It's a very personal decision as to whether it is worth the extra expense or not. We stayed at the Poly GVC in November 2004 with our then almost 5 year old. For us, it was totally worth the cost! The convenience of having the monorail right at your back door was priceless for us! My DD loved the theming of the resort and actually enjoyed the quiet pool even more than the volcano pool. We spent hours wandering the grounds and had a wonderful time watching the fireworks and the water parade from the beach. Staying concierge was an added bonus, obviously, but we would have had just as good a time staying in a basic room. We are trying to plan a trip for this November and are having a difficult time deciding if we should shell out the big bucks again or not!! Whatever you decide, have fun!!
