Cast of Characters DH, says Disney is the place where he gets to have his brain turn to mush, He needs a vacation

We left on Sun. 4/24 our flight was due to arrive in Orlando at around 6 pm. I was already not liking this but due to the NY Spring Break crowds it was the best flight we could get since southwest was sold out. Upon arrival at the airport American Airlines informs us that the flight left 3 hours early and they informed us of that. What, not true. The couple in front of us didnt even get on the full plane, we did but had some seat changes and they asked dh to change seat for a family but he said no since our seats were already changed. Lots of angry people who were not notified etc. DS 15 changes his seat for one family. They comp him a headset. I wish he wouldnt have changed, sorry but he has asthma and I like to keep an eye on him. We call Tiffany Towncar, o.k. someone will be there, but not probably who you requested, Berkley, Call the Polynesian, talk to CM Jack, just filled with the Disney Magic, NOT!!! Dh tells him of our later arrival and asks what bldg. we will be assigned to. Jack informs dh he cant tell us because the next screen will not pop up until we actually check in, oh I am about in tears already and the vacation has not even started. He tells dh that the resort is very full and since YOU are checking in SO late, you will get what is LEFT!!etc.
We arrive in Orlando and there to greet us is Berkley Edwards from Tiffany Towncar, awesome as usual. He is reading a new book everyone, the Purpose Driven Life!! We check into the Poly after a stop at the hess mini mart for soda, a 12 pack is 2 for $5.00. A bargain compared to NY prices. We check in at the Poly with CM Fili from Tuvalu, Samoa. He is pleasant. Tells us we will get the Samoa bldg. but not the ground floor, 3rd floor, O.K. Makes a strange comment that since we have an ap rate, this will be our room, we take our own luggage to room since we have been there before and see its an end room, but its o.k. We get something from captain cooks and crash, its been a long day!!
Monday April 25, 2005 Start the day with a view from the balcony, that is where we encounter the smoking neighbor! I freak out because of ds asthma. I think they got the hint from my loud mouth and telling dh I was going to the front desk. This was a morning of lines, we walk with the ds over to the TTC and get the monorail to epcot. It is totally crazy at the ttc. Lines backed up like crazy, not a good sign of things to come, just masses and masses of people. I go wait in one line to activate my ap voucher, then I go into another line to get my dde letter, then dh goes into another line to buy 4 more premium annual passes. The cm shakes dh hand because she said she has never sold 4 of these at once. Also comments on 3 boys in 4 years etc. DH and I take the ferry over to the MK, the ds take the monorail. They beat us there. I need a wheelchair to use as a walker because of my bad back. DH buys the week plan tickets with a discount. THEN it happened, no magic in the MK!! Before noon they had run out of ECVs and then double strollers, one mom was going nuts. She had a mom in a wheelchair and needed a double and single stroller, there were many families with crying kids at the MK entrance fighting over who would sit in the single strollers, yes one kid would have to walk from each family. This was not a pretty sight. We were late for our PS at Crystal Palace by like 40 minutes, but it was due to the crowds I didnt expect at all. The meal was good as always. Later we did POC., the posted time was 45 min, but turned actual into 25, we did tiki birds, country bears, shooting gallery etc. We had a fast pass for splash magic and then another disaster, Splash Mountain was BROKEN down. A man was waving a white t shirt from his log high atop the mountain, the cm was on the phone, not a good sign, ds says we can come back later, I say no thanks I dont want to be that guy up there next!! 2 of the ds went to do stitch and dh and I stopped for a snack at sunshine tree terrace, orange juice slushie and iced cappacino. Later we grabbed some snacks from captain cooks and we watched wishes from the beach. I think the ds went swimming. They preferred the quiet pool over the volcano pool. They said the water was much warmer.
Tuesday 4/26/05 Typhoon Lagoon. They predicted rain later in the day so the ds hurried and tried out the new slides there. They liked the pineapple one the best and said they wiped out too. DH and I spent most of the time in the lazy river. We grabbed some turkey legs, hot dogs and chip fast because it was starting to storm. Later the ds went to Disney Quest. They hate ponchos and refuse to wear them and said they got wet but dried out. DH and I decided we would have dinner at either the Grand Floridian Cafe or Concourse Steakhouse. We tried the Grand Floridian Cafe. We called ahead and they said the wait was 30 mins. When we got there they said 1 hour and the actual time was 40 min. I did a seperate dining review and the food was very good and we enjoyed the musicians in the lobby. I think we met someone famous, I am not sure who he was but he looked like the actor Michael Tucker. The couple was returning from Victoria and Alberts. He said hello to me, I found that odd and strange, maybe he thought I recognized him as someone famous. The ds didnt get back to the room until after midnight, o.k. I was only worried because of the bad storm outside.
