Polynesian LV or Contemporary Tpwer?

Which would be less money, a LV room at the Polynesian or a Tower room at the Contemporary? I think both views are fabulous for different reasons. I like the theming better at the Polynesian, but DH and I have stayed there before (not that we don't want to stay there again) but I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary, too. Our party will be me, DH, DS2, DD1 (she's baking now), my parents, my grandmother and my aunt. We'd be getting 3 rooms and DH and I have AP's.

Just wondering what you think would be better and less $$$. Thanks!

from the Contemporary. I know the theming isn't as "themed"as Poly. (We went in nov. 2000) but i thought the Poly was very dark. We had to walk to get to all the main areas. We did a great view of the fireworks at night though from our room. At the CR, rack rate for 3/30-4/3 (peak) was like $435 around there. We then got it down high 300 with AAA. I then used CTN code (thanks mousesavers) and got it down to $350.

I loved our room and the staff. We were in the tower. The monorail was a few floors down on the elevator. Great restaurants--loved the Concourse for lunch and Chef Mickey is always good. One day we hopped over to MK for just 2 hrs. in the morning. Came back, had lunch, and hopped on over to AK. It was bright, airy and the color purple was everywhere. THe pool was nice too.

Keep in mind that there is no guarantee of a castle view at the CR. I want to think that a very few lagoon view rooms at the PR also don't have a castle view, not sure about that, but the vast majority do. So if you are trying for castle view, the Polynesian would be a better bet. I think the Polynesian lagoon view is generally about $50 a night more than the Contemporary Tower.

I've never stayed at the Contemporary, but I love, love, love the Poly LV. My parents took us there every summer. The resort is so beautiful and laid back. There are wonderful resteraunts and an awesome pool. Plus the view is sooooo great!
