Polynesian Luau?

Has anyone done this? How is it? We've done Hoop de Doo several times but have a freind who'd like to do this with us in October. Are there different seating times? Will our teenage son be horrified?

Appreciate any info!

We did it in October and really enjoyed it. The food was OK...nothing special but fine. It was a nice experience. Your teenage son should enjoy the...uhum..."view" on stage. I say give it a try.

We did it for the first time last May and really enjoyed the show. As the pp stated the food was ok (definitely edible). We were planning on doing it again when we go this October, but we may try HDDR this time. Maybe I will get lucky and DH will say yes to both. (fat chance!).

We just went a few weeks ago and enjoyed it! Unfortunately it was cold, so that put a slight damper on the outdoor setting! But the dancers were still up there "hula-***" away! There is a fire dancer that my DS thought was cool!

They do ask the kids to come up on stage to dance, but it is only the little ones, and they don't pull people up there, so your DS should be okay with it.

We did the Luau in December and really enjoyed it. We thought the service & food was very good. You will enjoy the show, it is very good.

We went to the luau last time we were at WDW and the girls really enjoyed it.
We are going back again on our next trip in June (already made the ressies) .
This time we think we will enjoy it even more, as my youngest daughter (18) and her best friend (who we are taking with us and is also 18) are in a Polynesian dance troup, abd have been for the last 1 1/2 yrs. They are really looking forward to the show!
