Hi

I'm looking for any review good or bad on this. Have you ever been?

We went several years ago and we liked it. I've never been to Hawaii so I can't tell you how it compares to the real thing. The dancing, drums, and fire dancing were neat. The girls were gorgeous to look at--DH's tongue was hanging out.

Arrive early so you have a chance of sitting up front.

The Polyneasian Luau Cove is currently closed for refurbishment. Disney will "soft-open" a new Luau Dinner Show beginning 19th of February, so reviews are still pending. As such it would be prudent to overlook any past reviews until after news of the new show starts to trickle in. After the official opening date on 25th of February, there will be two shows daily presented Tuesday through Saturday at 5:15 and 8:00 p.m.
Part of the official press release includes the following description of the show:

The hostess for the evening, Auntie Wini, invites the whole neighborhood for a celebration featuring the music and dances of the cultures of Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and Hawaii, while guests dine on a feast inspired by the flavors of Polynesia.

In the past, dinner prices for adults were around $49 USA and approximately $25 for children ages 3-11.
