I have some dvc points from a cancelled cruise that we need to use (they cannot be used at dvc resorts) before they expire. Our first choice of resorts would be GF Royal Palm Club or Polynesian Concierge. However, the available rooms using dvc points are very limited for our dates next fall. Currently, our top two choices based on what is available is Polynesian Garden view or YC Concierge.

We prefer the decor and size of the rooms at the PR but typically stay concierge when not staing at a dvc resort. We stayed at YC concierge a long time ago and thought it was okay but a small crowded lounge.

Does anyone have any recent reviews of YC concierge or opinions of which they would choose?

Thanks

First, sorry you had to cancel your cruise.

We recently stayed at YC Concierge over Labor Day, and loved it. They upgraded us to a lagoon view, the balcony seemed larger, we were steps from the elevator and lounge.
Our only request was a King....
We were fortunate and never found the lounge too crowded...it was great for DH and DD16 mths to go to while I checked us in.
We found the CM's to be wonderful and very accomodating. THeir IPO staff was wonderful, a staff member I dealt with came over to introduce herself and give us a special YC Anniv pin.
We were escorted to our room after check in.....we were given wine before the "wine hour" to enjoy on the balcony cause they knew DD was napping.....just top notch service in my opinion.
Great location....I would stay there again!

Last month we did a split stay, 4 nights at the YC first then 4 nights at the Poly....wished we stayed at the YC. Love the room, love the quiet atmosphere, love the quiet pool and spa that no one used except us and love the location to 2 parks and the BW.

The Poly was nice but way to crowded in the lobby, dining and pool areas. Great monorail service and Kona was amazing. Would go back for a weekend trip but for a week YC wins hands down.

The YC lounge was expanded about 5 years ago, so if your stay there was longer ago than that, the lounge has been made larger (not huge, but bigger than it was). That should reduce your concerns about that issue.

We stayed at the YC concierge last year at Christmas time and only found the lounge crowded during the morning. We had a great time regardless and usually just brought food back to our room.
