We narrowed our room request down to three longhouses...Fiji, Tuvalu, Tokelau. Is there any difference in the room between these 3 areas? Are all rooms pretty much the same inside? Also, will any of these rooms be exceptionally loud at night due to laua's etc? Our kids arent that young...they will be 7 and 8 at the time we go so we wont be in bed too early.
I've been reading some reviews that are making me a little nervous about staying at the Poly. Its always been my dream resort and I really hope Im not disappointed! Its a lot of money going from a mod to a deluxe so really hoping everything turns out how i dreamed :)

We had a TPV in Tokelau about a year and a half ago. We heard absolutely nothing from the luau at any point, except for the night we were there! FYI, as I recall the luau is held in a semi-covered theater space, well separated from the rest of the resort.

I stayed in Tokelau a few years ago. It was a great location, central to either the main building or the TTC. We walked to the TTC to get the monorail.

We had a garden view in Tokelau. Didn't see much. This building has balconies on both the 2nd & 3rd floor.

We were in Tokelau in a GV room and could see the GF, Beach, and water. I thought the location of the building was perfect!!

I guess it really depends on what you prefer...or leave it to the tiki gods as some would say...we stayed in Tuvalu our 1st Poly stay-mk side, ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Also stayed gv-also nice. Figi is centrally located and makes the walk quite short to either GCH, beach and boat dock...never stayed in Tokelau, but honestly the Poly is my favorite resort and hey I don't think you could go wrong in any longhouse! Enjoy and have a great trip!!!!

We stayed in Fiji, close to everything, and on one side a view of the beach and GF and other side a view of the marina, pool, monorail and CR. Loved the location. We could walk right outside to the beach and a very close walk to GCH. And it was a garden view, so we didn't have to pay to upgrade our view.

We stayed in Tuvalu, MKV. While we could faintly hear the luau at night if we were on the balcony we could not hear it in the room. It's not that loud. Tuvalu is nice & close to the GCH & volcano pool. However, if you are booked GV I would not recommend it. You could end up on the side facing Figi, which I would think could be a very disappointing view. The two buildings are very close together and that side of Tuvalu looks dead on to Figi (a view of the side entrance to another longhouse would be very disappointing IMHO)

We were in the tokelau longhouse this May. We had a nice view of the quiet pool. It was very close walk to everything. The best part for me is that it was super close to laundry room. We were there 10 days and I did laundry 3 times.

We stayed in Tokelau too! I requested it because the rooms are larger in that longhouse (and 2 others, although I cant remember their names). When you have 6 in your family, square footage matters! I also liked that it was close tothe building with the laundry...again with 6, you have to do laundry! We never heard the Laua. The quiet pool is also bt Tokelau.
