I have not seen this information posted anywhere so I will ask it here. Will check-in for people staying at the Polynesian DVC be at the Great Ceremonial House or will there be a check-in desk at one of the DVC longhouses?

I remember when Bay Lake Tower opened and you had to check-in at the main desk at The Contemporary but not too much later they added a check-in desk at Bay Lake Tower itself so I am curious as to whether Disney learned anything from that experience?

Reports are the GCH only.

BLT and VGF have all the rooms under one roof. At PVB, there are 3 longhouses and 20 bungalows. PVB would be more like SSR, OKW, HHI, and VB. Better to have one location for checkin with that many buildings.

Everything I've heard and read indicates that PVB guests will check in at the Great Ceremonial House.

The situation at PVB is not really comparable to the situation at BLT. BLT had lobby space that could easily accommodate a check-in desk. I'm not sure if any of the longhouses have sufficient lobby space to accommodate a check-in area large enough to handle PVB's 380 villas. BLT is also different than PVB in the sense that all BLT villas are contained in one building. If a separate PVB check-in area is established in one of the longhouses, most of the guests would still have to walk to another longhouse or to the balconies out on the lagoon. PVB guests might as well just check in at the Great Ceremonial House as walk to a separate PVB check-in area and then still walk to another longhouse to get to their villa.

They would also have to have Bell Services available at a separate check-in area. The only drive-up area is Pago Pago, which really would not be convenient for people staying in other buildings.
