Recently have read some alarming experiences that people are having at the Poly Concierge, we are booked for August and paid extra for what was supposedly suppose to be a special experience for us all now I'm scared that what I paid for is a huge let down. Should I find another hotel? Should I wait to hear about others firsthand experiences? perplexed and concerned. and looking for some sage counsel. Thanks ahead of time:D

Hi dutch... I read the same thread.

I think they may have the concierge problems ironed out by August - remember this is a temporary set up in Tahiti - they are just getting into the swing of things now.

It seems to me the problem is those 40 extra rooms - that could be anywhere from 80 - 200 more people to feed and look after in a lounge area that is smaller than Hawaii.

That thing about paper plates/cups is also a surprise to me too

My advice - wait for a couple of weeks, watch for more reports, drop a line to the concierge or give them a call - express your concerns - see what they say.

August was pretty quiet last summer at Disney, low crowds, resorts were nice and quiet - hopefully the guest load will be lower by the time you travel.

I think I will and calling and vocalizing my concerns to the resort was an idea I had'nt thought of, the smell thing concerns me as well, have a sensitive nose and if mildew is really bad it can flare up the asthma, so many reasons that I am concerned, I just want this trip to be special last one before daughters become seniors and then college and so on, want this trip to be something to remember Thanks again:)
