Polynesian Beach Question

Hi! I haven’t been to Disney in a few years, and one of the (many) changes to WDW is the addition of the bungalows at the Polynesian resort. It’s been a long standing tradition of mine on day 1 of vacation to grab a counter service dinner to go at the Polynesian and enjoy it on the beach watching the fireworks.

Can anyone weigh in on if this is still possible with the bungalows? I know I can still do the same at GF or Contempory, but the beach at Poly had always been my favorite.

Sure. The Poly beach is often restricted to Poly guests on major dates like 7/4 and 12/31, but otherwise all other dates anyone can enjoy.

The Bungalows do create a smaller sliver of viewing, but what’s left is great. See pic below.

Beach chairs/lounges are pretty much non-existent these days. Plan to more than likely sit on the sand.

For my last few Poly stays (last one was around NYE), the audio during fireworks was finally nice and loud. For the longest time it was low and very hard to hear from certain parts of the beach. Lately it’s been at a good volume level (so much better!). YMMV on that though.

Hope that helps!
