Polynesian balconies...

Do all of the rooms at the Polynesian have balconies, or are they only certain types of rooms like Concierge rooms only or only at certain buildings?

I beleive they all do. We stayed in one in tokelau and it was not concierge but had a balcony.

Not all the rooms have a patio or balcony, but it isn't restricted to club level rooms or anything.

I think that all the first level floors have a patio and all the 3rd floor rooms have a balcony. It's the 2nd floor where you run into trouble. You can request a patio/balcony but it doesn't mean you'll get one.

I think that the MK view rooms all have balconies but am not absolutely sure.

not all the MK view rooms have balconies. i was bored one day and counted the number of (non concierge) MK view rooms, according to a certain polnesian website starting with tiki, there are 75 MK view rooms, 9 of these are on the second floor with no balcony or patio, so i make this 12% of the MK rooms dont have either a patio or a balcony.

The description about the balcony rooms at the Poly is correct. But I seem to recall reading somewhere that there is one longhouse that has balconys also on the second floor. I have no idea however what the name of that building is.
There is a thread here devoted exclusively to the Polynesian resort. It's full of helpful and amazing information and hundreds of photos. I have no idea how to place a link here...but the thread is awesome. Give yourself at least a few days to be able to read all the posts there.
There is also a site run by someone named tikiman. For me, this is the difinitive Polynesian site with history of the resort and individual sections devoted to each longhouse. Again, I can't place a link here. but if you look for tikiman, you should have no problem finding it.
Note: it is very busy site and usually shuts down near the end of the month. But it is always up and running after the first week of the month.

Tokelau, Rapa Nui and Tahiti all have a patio on the 1st floor and a balcony on both the 2nd and 3rd floor. All other longhouses (excluding suites) have no balcony on the second floor - no matter the view. :)

Hope this helps!
