So, your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, right? So you're supposed to take advantage of every moment of it, right? Okay... So I might be going a bit overboard, but eh...

Here is what DF and I are thinking about when it comes to pictures on our big day:

6:30am - 7:30am: MK Session (pick up at Beach Club, drop off at Polynesian)

8am - 8:20am: Polynesian Session - Bride & Groom Only(we only want pictures with the landscaping near the building, not on the beach. Since we have an outside photographer, I was told we can do this)

8:20am - 8:30am: Transportation from Poly to GF (Monorail?)

8:30am - 8:45am: GF Session - Bride & Groom Only

8:45am - 9:35am: GF Session - Group pictures

9:35am - 10am: Transportation from GF to WP (walk?)

10am - 10:20am: Ceremony

10:20am - 10:30am: Staged Exit picture

10:30am - 10:45am: WP Session - Group pictures

10:45am - 11am: WP Session - Bride & Groom only

A couple questions for those of you with experience (or anyone really that wants to chime in): Is it over doing it? Recommendations on how we get from Point A to Point B to Point C?

I would recommend a limo or a cab to get you from the Poly to the GF. The monorail can have delays and the last thing you want is to be all panicky and stuck on the monorail.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, I believe DFTW wants the bride at the WP at 9:30 for 10am ceremonies.

The walk isn't too long, but it can be hot. DMom and I walked from the GF to the WP and were sweating by the time we got there. This was late Sept. It's the humidity that kills ya! :lmao:

Just a thought but we pushed our reception back an hour so we could have extra time after ceremony to do those kinds of pictures. Pictures are important to us too and there are so many great places around Disney property! We figure our guests can hang out at the Boardwalk for a little extra time, none of them seem to mind. Usually where we are from there is a time gap anywhere between ceremony and reception. But this way at least you won't be rushing before ceremony.

On your poly session with your outside photographer, are you wearing your wedding attire? If so who is your outside photographer and can you even do a session at the poly wearing your attire? I'm not sure and would love to do one at the poly with wedding attire. Also, I don't think you're over doing it. I might be wanting to do something similar. We want Yacht and Beach shots, a bench shot at Downtown Disney, the poly and an MK shoot. Good Luck!

My photographer is Randy Chapman. I spoke with my planner about doing pre-ceremony pictures there (so, yes we will be in our wedding attire). She said if there was another bridal couple there for their ceremony, then we could not do pictures there. Being that we are not interested in using the beach and our pictures would be from 8am - 8:20am, I don't think it will be an issue.

Anybody know anything about the boat transportation between the Poly/GF/WP? Would it be possible for us to charter a boat for an hour or so? I know one can charter the Grand 1 for an hour for around $500, but we don't need anything that extravagant.

I do think that is too much to fit into that timeframe, everything takes longer than you think. I'd talk to Randy if I were you as he has so much experience he'll be really familiar with how long things take.

I'm pretty sure you can hire a pontoon boat for an hour (the ones that would noramlly be used for fireworks cruises), not sure on the cost but i'm sure you'd get some great photos that way.

Are you wearing big heels? You don't want your feet to be hurting during the ceremony. Are you going on the beach at all? As then you need to take time to clean your feet as well.
