Which Poly building is better raratongo or tokelau?

I think it's such a personal thing. Read Tikiman's site and make your decision. He gives you specifics on each longhouse. So much is based on location and where you'd prefer to be. If you want to be close to the GCH, volcano pool, and marina, Rarotonga is the longhouse for you. If you prefer to be close to the quiet pool and TTC, Tokelau is closer.

Tikiman only made me want to stay at all the longhouses!!!!! I decided I would request 2 buildings, I am not going to even ask about my reservation requests when I start to check in like I usually do, and I am not going to be disappointed at all with where they put me. I am leaving it up to fate!!!!!!!

(Not doing this at POR however. I want Alligator Bayou and I requested one of 3 buildings and I will be disappointed if I don't get that. But, I know it's not guarenteed, so I won't fuss, I'll enjoy my vacation regardless).

When I was there two weeks ago, I fell in love with a new longhouse. Tokelau is good if you really like the quiet pool and want to be close. Rappa Nui is great if you want to be close to the TTC however, my room in Fiji ROCKED! Here's what it looked like:

After looking at the tikkiman website I narrowed it down to four. I picked raratongo, tokelau, rapa nui and tahiti. After reading some posts about figi now I have to go back and see why I didn't like that one. Of course I'm not obsessing about this

Looks like you were 2nd floor, right under my room. Fiji was absolutley a great longhouse. 1 minute walk to the GCH and 2 minutes to the pool. Can't wait to get back.

This is what I'm doing. I'm going to see what we get when we arrive next week...I'm sure I'll love any longhouse so why should I choose? Although, Fiji is pretty nice...hmmm.... I haven't been obsessing over this the past 6 months, nope, not at ALL.

My vote is for Figi also. We just returned and it is in a great location with a great view and the rooms are renovated.

We usually stay in Concierge which is Hawaii and that was always my preferred building but Figi is so close to the main building I like this better especially in the rain.

We stayed at the Raratongo during our last trip. I've also stayed in the Hawaii and Figi longhouses on prior trips. My favorite was the Hawaii house, but Raratongo has great location. You are close to both pools, the GCH, and the monorail.

we wanted samoa but ended up getting rarotonga facing the quiet pool on the 3rd floor and loved it!!!! Very nice and you could hear and see (some of) the fireworks from the balcony (with the music piped in from somewhere lol not sure where).
