Poly to FW Petting Zoo?

I want to take my youngest DS over to the petting zoo/pony rides at FW. We are staying at the Poly. What is the easiest route? Should we just drive or take Disney transportation? Which bus do we take at FW and how do we get back?

We were at the Poly last week and we spent the morning at MK then took the boat to FW for lunch at Trails End (great food and a bargain) and then spent time at the petting zoo and stable for the Main St horses. Pony rides were $3.00. Then we took the boat back to MK and Poly boat back to Poly. If you drive you have to park at the entrance to Ft Wilderness and then take an internal bus to get to the petting zoo area. You may be able to take bus from Ft. Wilderness to TTC and walk back Poly?

Just walk to the TTC. There is a bus that goes to WL & FW.

or

Take monorail to CR, then blue boat over to FW. Boat ride is maybe 5 minutes & the pony rides are just behind Hoop Dee Doo/Trails End.

or

Go to MK (boat or monorail) and take the larger green boat to FW. Go to the boat dock that says "Fort Wilderness/ Wilderness Lodge.

The TTC bus and the boat from the MK actually take you to the same general area. Walking from the Polynesian to the TTC and taking the WL/FW bus as Kimberle noted will be the fastest way to get there from the hotel. If you will be at the MK before, the boat will be fastest and of course the boats or monorail and boat combination are fun.

Driving isn't really bad either and will be faster than going to the MK and then transferring. However, if you drive you will have to park at the Outpost and take an internal bus to the Settlement.

TTC to the WL/FW bus is fastest.

If speed of travel isn't an issue and it's a nice day, take the boat! I love taking the boat!
