Poly to Downtown Disney

We need to get to downtown disney and looked in the transportation section that gives times/directions to and from. It said 60min using Disney transportation and 30 minutes to drive. Can anyone tell me whether this is really accurate? Thanks.

Those times are conservative, but not inaccurate. You will be safe to leave that much time. On the bus from Poly to DTD, the actual ride takes about 15-20 minutes tops. But it can be slower if there is traffic, lift operation for scootetrs, or just poor luck. And they try to run the bus service loop with consitency, but somtetimes you can wait 30 minutes for the bus to show up (hence the 60 minutes time frame).

Driving -- if you are familiar with the route, shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

yes, you should always allow and hour because you have to figure in wait time for the bus.

Pay no attention to the empty buildings as you walk through PI. nothing to see here, move along

The buses from the Polynesian to Downtown Disney also share with the Contemporary and Grand Floridian, so that will add some time of waiting and getting there.

I also agree that if you have your own car driving from the Polynesian to Downtown Disney shouldn't be more then 15 minutes.

The DTD bus only stops at CO & POLY. It does not stop at GF. Therefore it is a straight shot from POLY to DTD without any stops in between. The on-bus ride portion to MP should not take any longer than 20 minutes.

If you are unlucky enough to just miss a DTD bus, as you arrive at the bus stop, then you will have to wait and that could be as much as 20 minutes. Therefore your trip to DTD should be about 40-45 minutes tops.

Of course there is the outside chance that a bus may be delayed, for whatever reason, but even though that does happen, it does not happen very often.

This was my experience but the last time my family and I got on that bus from Downtown Disney, when it arrived the electronic sign said the stops were the Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian.
