Poly Studio or Regular Room?

We are looking at staying at the Poly for our next trip. Does anyone have preferences over a Studio vs. a Regular Room? I haven't stayed there since I was 4 and can't wait to go back. Both types of rooms would work for our size party, but I didn't know if one was nicer than the other or a better location on property. Thanks!

We prefer a regular room. With that said, we've never stayed in a studio at any resort, but we prefer 2 regular queen beds rather than 1 queen and a queen sofa sleeper. We also would never use the kitchenette in the studio.

The sleeping arrangements are different between the two.

In a standard room, you get two queen beds, and a fold-down sofa. I think it's a double.

In a studio, you get a queen bed, a fold-out double sofa, and a fold-down single murphy bed.

The DVC units are over near the TTC, and near the pool under construction. The main longhouses are over toward the GCH and Volcano pool.

Also, in the DVC studio there is a split bathroom. One bathroom with toilet, sink, and tub/shower and another bathroom with a sink and shower. This would be nice so that two people could shower at the same time.

As long as construction is done when you go, I personally would choose the studio because they are newly redone, have a kitchenette, 2 showers, guarantee a balcony/patio, and we wouldn't mind the pull out couch. :) The studios are also super close to the TTC for a direct monorail to Epcot and MK. But the standard room is nice for two queen beds.

The question is always about bed configuration and how much time sleeping vs. on patio.

If the bed configuration works, it's one thing. but don't consign someone to a sofa bed for a balcony unless they're consenting.

Thank you so much for all the responses. We'd be going probably in October so I'll have to see if the construction would be done by then.
