Any suggestions for room requests for DVC studio at the Poly? First time staying there - my mom will have an electric scooter, so I don't know if that will be an issue. Selected fast passes this weekend...getting really psyched!! :)
TIA!

I'd request 1st floor-the elevators are small there and kind of slow on my opinion

There are 2 elevators in each building. A small one and around the corner is a large one, plenty of room for scooters. If you don't care about a view, then go for the ground floor.

Moorea and Tokelau have two elevators, one small and one service elevator. But Pago Pago only has the one small elevator.

We rode up the one and only small elevator in Pago Pago with a man pushing one of those really big double wide strollers for joggers. He had only an inch on each side of the stroller at the doorway. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us and the stroller. So I am pretty sure an EVC would fit. But I would ask for one of the other two long houses for the bigger elevator and tell DVC it why and that your request is disability related.

i thought tokelau was a great building -- just stayed there and requested northwest corner high floor -- we could look around the balcony and see the fireworks -- it was also a very short walk to both pools and the beach as well as the TTC and the great house. have fun!

Do all of the Standard View Studio rooms have a balcony? What would be the best request for a decent view and a balcony?

As DenLo said, you probably do not want Pago Pago due to only having one small elevator. Aside from that it becomes a question view. In Tokelau and Moorea you will not have the elevator issue, so third floor is no issue.

Someone else needs to chime in, not sure if any of the 2nd floor rooms have the "fake balconies", so you might want to request 1st or 3rd floor

All 3 DVC buildings at the Poly have patios on the ground floor and balconies on floors 2 and 3.

I should have mentioned we are not staying on points for this trip. Any idea about the CRO rooms?
Those would be assigned as "run-of-the-house", so you could end up anywhere in the category you reserved (standard or lake view). The areas / requests would be the same as those for points reservations.

Would it be worth just asking for balcony on the highest floor? This is an adults only trip for F&W and MNSSHP so I really don't think it is awfully important. But I do like to chill at the end of the day with a beverage on the balcony if possible. Thanks!

If it is the Villas at Poly then it's the same set of rooms - all will be either a patio on the ground floor or blacony on an upper floor in Moorea, Tokelau or Pago Pago.

Awesome. Can't wait to see what this trip brings. Thanks for the feedback!

Agree with Kat - just ask for high floor and hope for the best. Good luck!

To try and keep these type of requests in 1 thread, I'm posting here in an old thread.

So we're planning a trip for just my wife and I in a standard view room during food and wine fest. There are no elevator concerns with no strollers and we can do stairs is needed. So my wish list would be for a view, followed by best proximity to TTC and the Great House.

Based on Andyman33's post above it sounds like the Tokelau with a request of a "northwest corner high floor" is the way to go. Anyone else with thoughts on this request based on what we are looking for?

So am I correct that all the Polynesian DVC rooms (at least the standard) are in Moorea, Tokelau, or Pago Pago? Any preference for a building with a great garden/landscape view?

All three have great landscape views, however, half of Pago Pago also has parking lot/monorail view. And half of Tokelau has a view of the Oasis pool although some of those rooms on the south end of the building facing the pool really have blocked views because of the buildings at the pool.

Any rooms close to the center entrances to the buildings could lose some view to the right or left because of the covered entrance way has those oversized triangle shaped roofs. But only part of the view would be blocked.

I would go for a high floor.

If that request were met then you'd likely be able to see a bit of the castle from your deck.
