It's official - We are going to try to book a courtyard view at the Poly! :cool1: What is the best location to ask for?

Will be traveling with DH, 2 DDs (ages 5 and 7) and DS (age 2)?

Mmm, no courtyard views at the Poly :confused3 Do you mean garden?

Check out tikiman's website on everything Poly if you haven't yet, he shows maps, room pictures, etc. It's the best! :worship:

Scroll down when you get there and click on all the buttons to see each longhouse with info!

Our favorite bldg. to request is Samoa, lst or 3rd floor because the 2nd floors have no balcony. You could ask for the volcano pool view or the quiet pool view. The volcano is a little noisier than the quiet pool side. The bldg. itself is very convenient to both pools and captain cooks and the great ceremonial house. All the cms say its the most request bldg. You will love the Polynesian.

I like Tokelau. It's right near the quite pool, close to the bus stops, and still very close to both the Great Ceremonial House and the TTC.

And the rooms are larger, which is nice w/ young children

We'll be staying at the Poly for the first time in March. I've read tikiman's website quite a bit and have decided to request a 3rd floor room facing the quiet pool in Tokelau. Anyone stayed in this area and have suggestions ?

We stayed on 3rd floor back in May, and really liked it. I liked the fact that it was (in my opinion) centrally located, but kind of quiet (didn't want to be near the volcano pool, or somewhere that would have a lot of foot traffic.
We requested (and got) a 3rd floor room, facing the quiet pool. The closer you are to the beach, the better view you have of the fireworks (as long as you face the pool).
Check out Tikiman's site, as previously stated.
Don't fret it; no matter what room you are in, it will be nice.

We stayed in room 3909 (Garden View) and loved it.

We were close to the beach so from our room balcony you could see the fireworks. You may even say it had a "lagoon view", but you really had to stretch to see it.

Each evening when we were "home", we staked out the building balcony on the third floor and had a wonderful unobstructed view of the fireworks and water pageant. Looking out over the beach and at the fireworks was magical.

My kids prefered the quiet pool to the volcano pool, and swam here everyday. It was great. Quiet and lovely.

Just back Tuesday and I miss it already!

has anyone stayed in Tokelau. I will be at the poly in a week and i have requested Tokulau, what do you guys think?

We like this building because....close to Great ceramonial house and close walk to TTC. (central location)

thanks!

We are booked at the ASMu for 9 days in Aug with the DDP. If they come out with free dining we will be able to upgrade to the Poly (if there are rooms available) for almost the same price. Come on free dining !! :goodvibes We stayed there our first trip in '98, and we loved it. You will, too, no matter where you stay ! Good luck !

I was able to get a room at the Poly! I asked for non-smoking and the Tokelau building. Should I make any additional requests in regards to room assignment?
