Poly refurbishment? Will it ruin our trip?

Hi All,

OK, after reading some threads regarding the refurb at the Poly, I'm beginning to get a little nervous about our trip the end of September. Has anyone been there this summer? If so, does the refurb schedule ruin leisurely activity such as lying around the pool or the beach or sitting in the lobby? I'm nervous. We stayed at the Poly in 2000 and loved it.

I was there in April when they were doing the rehab on the stores on the first floor. We weren't even aware that it was going on, as they put up a flase, but convincing wall. Theme is what the Poly is all about and the workers make sure that what they're doing doesn't infringe on the all-important theme. You may see something, but it won't be enough to keep your focus and ruin your vacation. No worries.

I was at the Poly during renovations and I had no problem at all with noise and the like. I have to say that I was nervous too in going there with construction but I was pleasantly suprised at how well they masked this going on. Go, enjoy, and I know you will be glad that you stuck with your ressies at the Poly.

I just got back from there on the 6th. In no way did it ruin or even lessen our stay. If I hadn't read about the rehab on these boards, I honestly wouldn't have noticed that they were undergoing a rehab.

I was there in May and it didn't bother us at all!! We had a awesome time
